Camp Savuti

Camp Savuti epitomises the Botswana safari experience. From the abundant game viewing to the authentic tented accommodation, this is the traditional way to spend time in one of Africa's most superb wildlife regions. Guests can witness the unique interaction of the resident predator species and the prolific elephant herds in one of Africa’s most revered and remote regions.

There are five authentic canvas tents subtly hidden among the bush willows, raised on wooden stilts. Each unit has its own wooden deck, complete with chairs for two; carpeted floors inside; twin or king-size beds with headboards and pure cotton linen. Accommodation is a pocket of luxury amidst wild surroundings.

The bathroom is separated from the main bedroom interior by a dividing canvas curtain and is equipped with a small bath an outdoor shower. Elephants regularly stroll past the tents, ensuring guests enjoy an optimal game viewing experience.

Camp Savuti’s main area comprises a dining and bar section that flows out onto a deck area overlooking the channel. This deck area is the perfect place to watch game, or simply unwind in the wilderness setting. The newly built swimming pool provides much needed respite from the searing African heat.

There is also a quaint library area with just enough reading material to keep you busy during the downtime between activities. The outside boma area is an idyllic place to stargaze while around the campfire. Camp Savuti is beautifully decorated with African-inspired woodwork, cattle skin rugs, and arts and crafts that give the camp an authentic feel.

Mornings at Camp Savuti begin with an early wake up call and optional tea and coffee before heading out on game drive. After the morning game drive, guests will be served breakfast at the lodge. After some downtime and a lengthy lunch, game drives take place in the famous Savute Marsh area.
