8 Night Riverside Explorer
This 8-night Riverside Explorer package is an explorer-style safari offering the best of both land and water-based safaris in the remote Savuti region of Chobe National Park; the pristine Okavango Delta; and the unique Kasane Forest Reserve.
You'll spend three nights discovering the magic of the Okavango Delta while staying at Mboma Island Expeditions, a stylish mobile camp situated at the meeting point of the Delta's waters and the Moremi Game Reserve's savannah. Days are spent on palm-flanked islands, exploring the wildlife-rich waterways.
Two nights at the comfortable Camp Savuti is enough time to explore the revered Savute marshland area of the Chobe National Park, a region known for its prolific African wild dog sightings. Camp Savuti offers relaxation spaces such as lounge, bar, library, dining and fire-pit.
Your last three nights will be at Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge n the Kasane Forest Reserve, bordering the Zambezi National Park in Zimbabwe. Boasting 20 bedrooms that all face the waterhole, the lodge offers everything from spa treatments to viewing decks.

You will arrive at Xakanaxa airstrip from Maun, where your guide from Mboma Island Expeditions will pick you up in a game viewer. From here, you can enjoy a one-hour transfer through the Moremi Game Reserve and then jump aboard to enjoy the boat cruise through the Delta waterways to Mboma Island Expeditions.
Arrive to welcome drinks, followed by a briefing by the camp’s host before being shown to your classic canvas safari tent under the trees. After some refreshments and high tea, you’ll depart for a memorable sunset boat cruise on the open waters of the Okavango Delta. Spot African fish-eagles, birds of prey, hippos, crocs, and other aquatic wildlife.
Your guide will pack a cooler box with your choice of drinks which will be served as you head into the sunset. Enjoy the Delta’s beauty for a couple of hours before returning to camp for dinner and your first night at Mboma Island Expeditions.

You’ll receive an early wake-up call followed by coffee and breakfast around the campfire. After breakfast, you will depart on a boat cruise until you reach Mboma Boat Station where you will start your mokoro or game drive.
Remember your camera and sunblock, as you will be out on the activity until late morning. Upon returning to camp, you are welcome to have a warm bucket shower, relax and refresh before lunch is served in the dining tent.
Sit down and enjoy a good meal, followed by an afternoon siesta, or a spot of birdwatching on the island. High tea is served later in the afternoon and a sunset boat cruise complete with sundowners awaits to end the day.
After your sunset cruise, return to camp to enjoy the campfire and a three-course dinner before tuning in for your last night on Mboma Island Expeditions.

Today follows the same pattern as yesterday, starting with an early wake-up call. You'll then embark on an adventurous morning mokoro on the channels of the Okavango Delta or game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve.
The narrow channels of the Delta hide an array of local species such as lechwe, sitatunga, elephants, waterbuck and over 500 species of birds. the Moremi is where you'll spot predators like lions, leopards and African wild dogs.
Enjoy another full day in the world renowned Okavango Delta, ending off with a sunset boat cruise accompanied by sundowners.

You'll rise to yet another early morning wake-up call, complete with coffee and breakfast around the morning campfire. After breakfast, you’re back out on the water for a boat cruise transfer from Mboma Island Expeditions to Xakanaxa airstrip to connect with your light air transfer to Savuti.
Upon arrival at Savuti Airstrip in the Chobe National Park, your Camp Savuti guide will be waiting to meet you. You will then enjoy a 30-minute transfer through the park to Camp Savuti, located on the banks of the Savuti channel.
Receive a warm welcome and a briefing from your host before having lunch and settling into your tented room. Later in the afternoon you will enjoy a sunset game drive including a sundowner stop at a designated stretch point and enjoy being surrounded by the famous Savuti!
After a day in the revered Savute, head back to camp and refresh before dinner. Retire to the campfire in the boma to connect with other guests.

Again, you'll rise to an early morning wake-up call followed by a quick continental breakfast and coffee before departing on morning game drive.
Enjoy a lengthy game drive around the Savuti Marsh and time to stop for coffee and snacks at a stretch point in the park. Return to camp for lunch before indulging in some downtime in your tent or main area. Rooms have a private deck, ideal for observing the Savuti wilderness.
High tea is served at the camp later in the afternoon, followed by an afternoon game drive with sundowners in the bush. As the sun sets, return to camp and enjoy the open-air campfire and a special dinner out on the deck under the stars.

On the last morning at Camp Savuti, you will receive a wake-up call followed by breakfast and a coffee at the lodge before departing. Enjoy your last 30-minute transfer to the Savuti Airstrip where you'll connect with your light air transfer to Kasane.
Arrive at Kasane Airport where your guide from Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge will pick you up. From here, you can enjoy a quick 45-minute transfer through the town of Kasane. On arrival at Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge, you will be welcomed by prolific herds of elephants at the lodge waterhole.
Settle in and enjoy a hearty lunch whilst watching the elephants splash about in front of you. Late afternoon you will head off into the Chobe National Park and enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe riverfront before heading back to camp for dinner in the boma.

You will be out all day, so remember to pack the essentials. After about three hours of game viewing, you'll stop in the wilderness and enjoy a delicious buffet prepared by the camp staff.
A quick stretch after lunch and you're off for more game viewing, before heading to the Chobe riverfront for a sunset boat cruise. As the sun sets, return to camp and enjoy the open-air campfire and a special dinner under the stars.

After freshening up, you'll head out into the Chobe National Park for a late morning game drive and lunch in the national park. Before heading back to the lodge, enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe riverfront.
Tonight is your last night on safari, so take time to enjoy your dinner and time under the stars in the boma.

On the last morning of your safari, you will receive a wake-up call followed by breakfast and a coffee at the lodge main area before departing.
You can snap some extra photographs of the elephants at the waterhole before saying goodbye to the staff at Chobe Mopani Forest Lodge. A quick 45-minute transfer back through the town of Kasane to reach Kasane Airport where your safari journey ends.
