Your dedicated camp manager/host will personally escort you to your room, allowing you to settle in and marvel at the breathtaking views along the dry riverbed. Lunch will be served around 14:00, after which you'll have time to relax on the grounds of Umkumbe.

An easy self-drive route along the R40 will take you to Hoedspruit town where you can easily navigate to Africa on Foot using our directions.
Upon arrival, you'll settle into camp life and enjoy a lunch in the main area. Late afternoon you'll depart on a game drive, where you'll be treated to sundowners at a scenic spot and a night drive back to camp. In the boma area, you'll be greeted with a roaring campfire and drinks at the bar.
Dinner will be served in the dining area adjacent to the boma, where you can enjoy a delicious three-course meal before settling in for your first night.

Start your day with an early morning wake-up call, and enjoy the usual rusks and coffee in the main area of camp. Enjoy your final bush walk at Africa on Foot, where you'll learn about the vegetation and the smaller creatures often overlooked while on a game drive.
Return to camp for a satisfying breakfast, then take some time to freshen up and prepare for your next adventure. Bid farewell to Africa on Foot as you depart for Nyala Safari Lodge. Upon arrival at Jejane Gate, self-drivers will leave their cars at the gate and then be escorted on a 40-minute drive to the lodge.
Arrive to a welcome drink, and receive a briefing by the camp host before being shown to your classic rondavel-style chalet under the trees.
Lunch will be served in the main area, after which you will depart for your afternoon game drive. Your guide will pack a cooler box with your choice of drinks, which you'll enjoy during a sundowner stop on the afternoon/evening game drive.
For three hours, you'll be guided through the Mohlabetsi beauty, while discovering the wildlife of the area. Return to the lodge for dinner, and a boma session overlooking the floodlit waterhole.
